Our menu is full of handcrafted New York style, thin crust, stone baked pizza and mouthwatering pastas & subs made with fresh, quality ingredients. The Mabel's Story
Mabel's Gourmet Pizza is a story built on good food, community, and a whole lot of heart. Terry first joined Mabel’s as an employee, and when the opportunity came to take it over in 2005, she went all in.
In 2008, she and her husband Casey brought Mabel's to Crystal Beach—where they’ve been proudly serving the community ever since. As a husband-and-wife team, they’ve poured their passion into every dish, creating a cozy, welcoming spot where locals and visitors feel right at home.
In 2022 Mabel's home was reimagined and reconstructed. A modern, three story building replaced the 100 year old cottage. The ground floor is the new home for Mabel's, expanding their service from Take-out only to add Dine-in service. With a cozy 28 seat dining room and 24 seat, seasonal patio, this is now a major local landmark on Erie Rd, just steps away from the Ashwood entrance to Bay Beach.
In 2025, after 20 years of passion for Mabel's, Terry and Casey started a new chapter in their lives and decided to retire. Their successor, Eric Hitchcock Jr is a seasoned hospitality industry professional with over 30 years of working in the restaurant, entertainment and tourism industries.
Eric, a resident of Crystal Beach since 2012, joined Mabel's as a part-time Pizza Maker in May of 2024. This part time job at Mabel's quickly grew to something more; A love and respect for the Mabel's traditions and admiration and respect for the passion that Terry and Casey had for Crystal Beach and for great food! With each pizza he created, he saw the way the community embraced the cozy vibes and delicious meals Mabel's was providing. When the time came, everything fell into place like it was meant to be, and on Sept 30th, 2025, Eric became the third owner of the Mabel's story. Stay tuned as the next chapter unfolds...
